‘Personal encounters in Kagera’ for small groups

With this Learning Safari we offer an extraordinarily authentic experience of Tanzania far off the beaten track of global tourism. Our guests will gain a deep insight into the living conditions of the people and especially of the children in the Kagera Region, in the very northwest of Tanzania, on the Western shore of Lake Victoria.

In the core of this Learning Safari are encounters with representatives of different social groups, teachers and pupils, representatives of local and church communities, and of course the local team of Jambo Bukoba e.V. You will visit schools, recently completed school building projects, you will be a guest in the home of a local family where you will help to prepare and eat a typical Tanzanian meal with the host family.

We will undertake walks in Bukoba, hike along the shore high above Lake Victoria and down to the beach of the lake. You will also visit a tea plantation near Bukoba where this important export product is produced.

This trip for a group of maximum 5 people can be fully tailored to your personal interests.
